Diamond-cutting enterprise Diapur LLC was founded in 1995. The best specialists of Moscow plant “Crystal”, the branch leader of Soviet times, formed the company's staff.

Presently Diapur LLC is stably developing, its production volume amounts 5-10 thousand carats, and turnover makes $15-20 million per year.

The company strictly keeps to the Russian diamond-cutting tradition and produces original worldwide famous “Russian-cut” stones. They are distinguished by high quality polish and strict proportions observance. The standards, adopted in 1960-s, are much stricter than Israeli or Indian ones, they demand supreme skill of the cutter and perfect quality of the stones. While the Israeli school, for instance, allows to save up to 40% of a diamond's weight after cutting, “Russian cut” leaves only 33% of the initial weight. However the latter is appreciated very high and has a vast market: many customers prefer to pay for the cutter's skill instead of weight.

“Russian cut” term implies observance of a stone's geometric parameters, close to an ideal brilliant's proportions. That is the classical 57-facet round shape with equal angles. «Russian cut» quality in foreign terminology is equated to «Ideal cut» .

The company's pride, its staff, consists of 120 supreme skilled professional cutters, who had got their great experience working at Moscow plant “ Crystal ” for many years. These specialists have an unprecedented production capacity in their disposal - 60 unique cutting machines . The company applies traditional Russian technology, allowing to open the stone to light almost completely. The produce is famous for perfect polish and excellent geometry. Another distinctive feature of “Russian cut” stones is absence of culet (all the facets of the pavilion are brought together into a single point).

The company specializes in brilliants wholesale. Our customers are jewelry manufacturers, large brilliants resale intermediaries in the markets of Israel , Belgium , and the USA .
